शौचं कृत्वा यथान्यायं प्राज्जलि: प्रयतो नृप: । आत्मानमाचचक्षे च च्यवनाय महात्मने,उन्होंने पवित्रभावसे हाथ जोड़कर मनको एकाग्र रखते हुए न््यायोचित रीतिसे महात्मा च्यवनको अपना परिचय दिया
śaucaṃ kṛtvā yathānyāyaṃ prāñjaliḥ prayato nṛpaḥ | ātmānam ācacakṣe ca cyavanāya mahātmane ||
முறையாகத் தூய்மையை நிறைவேற்றி, கைகூப்பி, மனத்தை அடக்கி வைத்த அரசன், மகாத்மா ச்யவனரிடம் தன் அறிமுகத்தை அளித்தான்.
