आत्मानमाख्याति हि कर्मभिर्नर: सुशीलचारित्रकुलै: शुभाशुभै: । प्रणष्टमप्याशु कुलं तथा नर: पुन: प्रकाशं कुरुते स्वकर्मत:
ātmānam ākhyāti hi karmabhir naraḥ suśīlacāritrakulaiḥ śubhāśubhaiḥ | praṇaṣṭam apy āśu kulaṃ tathā naraḥ punaḥ prakāśaṃ kurute svakarmataḥ ||
மனிதன் தன் நற்-தீச் செயல்கள், நற்குணம், நடத்தை, குலப்பெருமை ஆகியவற்றினாலேயே அறியப்படுகிறான். அவன் குலம் அழிந்து மறைந்திருந்தாலும், தன் செயலாற்றலின் வலிமையால் அதை விரைவில் மீண்டும் புகழும் மதிப்பும் பெறுமாறு வெளிப்படுத்துவான்.
