Vivāha-dharma: Kanyā-pradāna, Śulka, and Pāṇigrahaṇa-niṣṭhā (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४४)
विपुल उवाच अजितेन्द्रिय दुर्बुद्धे पापात्मक पुरन्दर । न चिरं पूजयिष्यन्ति देवास्त्वां मानुषास्तथा
vipula uvāca | ajitendriya durbuddhe pāpātmaka purandara | na ciraṁ pūjayiṣyanti devās tvāṁ mānuṣās tathā ||
விபுலன் கூறினான்— ‘பாபாத்மா புரந்தரா! உன் புத்தி கெட்டது; நீ உன் இந்திரியங்களை அடக்க இயலாதவன். நீ இப்படியே இருந்தால் தேவர்களும் மனிதர்களும் நீண்ட காலம் உன்னை வணங்கி மதிக்கமாட்டார்கள்.’
