Indra–Mataṅga Saṃvāda: On the rarity and responsibilities of Brāhmaṇya (इन्द्र-मतङ्ग संवादः)
स यज्ञकार: कौन्तेय पित्रोत्सृष्ट: परंतप । प्रायाद् गर्दभयुक्तेन रथेनाप्याशुगामिना
sa yajñakāraḥ kaunteya pitrotsṛṣṭaḥ parantapa | prāyād gardabhayuktena rathenāpy āśugāminā ||
ஓ கௌந்தேயா, பகைவரைச் சுடர்க்கும் வீரனே! யாகங்களை நடத்தும் மதங்கன், தந்தையின் ஆணையின்படி, கழுதைகள் பூட்டிய விரைவோடும் தேரில் ஏறி, யஜமானனின் யாகத்தில் புரோகிதப் பணிக்குச் சென்றான்.
