Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
अग्नौ प्रास्तं प्रधूयेत यथा तूल॑ द्विजोत्तम । तथा गज्भजावगाढस्य सर्वपापं प्रधूयते
agnau prāstaṃ pradhūyeta yathā tūlaṃ dvijottama | tathā gaṅgāmbhasi āvāgāḍhasya sarvapāpaṃ pradhūyate ||
சித்தர் கூறினார்—ஓ இருமுறைப் பிறந்தவர்களில் சிறந்தவரே! தீயில் எறியப்பட்ட பருத்தித் தும்பு நொடியில் எரிந்து சாம்பலாகிவிடுவது போல, கங்கையின் நீரில் மூழ்குபவனின் எல்லாப் பாவங்களும் கழுவி அழிகின்றன।
