सूचका: सेतुभेत्तार: परवृत््युपजीवका: । अकृच्ञाश्च मित्राणां ते वै निरयगामिन:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | sūcakāḥ setubhettāraḥ paravṛttyupajīvakāḥ | akṛjñāś ca mitrāṇāṃ te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||

Translation

பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—ஒற்றர் போலச் செய்தி சொல்லி புறங்கூறும்ோர், குல-சமூக-தர்ம எல்லைகளை உடைப்போர், பிறரின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தைச் சுரண்டி வாழ்வோர், நண்பர்கள் செய்த உதவியை மறந்து நன்றி கெடுவோர்—இவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக நரகத்திற்குச் செல்கின்றனர்.
