Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
नान्यत्र ब्राह्मणोश्रीयात् पूर्व विप्रेण केतित: । यवीयान् पशुहिंसायां तुल्यधर्मो भवेत् स हि
nānyatra brāhmaṇośrīyāt pūrvaṁ vipreṇa ketitaḥ | yavīyān paśuhiṁsāyāṁ tulyadharmo bhavet sa hi ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—ஒரு பிராமணனை மற்றொரு பிராமணன் முன்பே ஸ்ராத்தத்திற்கு அழைத்திருந்தால், அழைக்கப்பட்ட அந்தப் பிராமணன் வேறு இடத்திற்குச் சென்று உணவு உண்ணக் கூடாது. அவன் அப்படிச் செய்தால், அவன் தாழ்ந்தவன் எனக் கருதப்படுவான்; அவனுக்குப் पशுஹिंसा (விலங்கு கொலை)க்கு ஒப்பான குற்றம் ஏற்படும்.
