अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence
ब्राह्मणान् भरतश्रेष्ठ सततं ब्रह्म॒ुवादिन: । मार्कण्डेय: पुरा प्राह इति लोकेषु बुद्धिमान् ७ ।।
brāhmaṇān bharataśreṣṭha satataṁ brahmavādinaḥ | mārkaṇḍeyaḥ purā prāha iti lokeṣu buddhimān || 7 ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—ஓ பரதகுலச் சிறந்தவனே! ஸ்ராத்தத்தில் எப்போதும் பிரம்மவாதிகள், வேதஞானம் உடைய பிராமணர்களையே அழைக்க வேண்டும். இதை ஞானமிகு மார்கண்டேயர் பழங்காலத்தில் கூறினார்; அது உலகில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.
