अशुभै: पापकर्माणो ये नरा: कलुषीकृता: । ईशान न प्रपद्यन्ते तमोराजसवृत्तय:

Transliteration

aśubhaiḥ pāpakarmāṇo ye narāḥ kaluṣīkṛtāḥ | īśāna na prapadyante tamorajasavṛttayaḥ ||

Translation

அசுபமான நடத்தையால் பாவச் செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டு மாசடைந்த மனிதர்கள்—தமோ அல்லது ரஜோ குணம் மேலோங்கிய இயல்புடையவர்கள்—ஈசானனாகிய சிவபெருமானின் சரணை நாடார்.
