यथा पाण्डो: सुता राज॑स्तथैव तव धर्मत: । तान् पालय स्थितो धर्मे गुरुशुश्रूषणे रतान्
yathā pāṇḍoḥ sutā rājas tathaiva tava dharmataḥ | tān pālaya sthito dharme guruśuśrūṣaṇe ratān |
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அரசே, அவர்கள் பாண்டுவின் புதல்வர்கள் என்பதுபோலவே, தர்மத்தின் அளவுகோலால் அவர்கள் உனக்கும்கூட உரியவர்கள். அவர்கள் எப்போதும் குருமார்களுக்கும் மூத்தோருக்கும் சேவை செய்வதில் ஈடுபட்டிருப்பவர்கள்; ஆகவே நீ தர்மத்தில் நிலைத்து, அவர்களை உன் சொந்த மக்களைப் போலப் பாதுகாத்து வளர்த்து வருவாயாக.
