भीष्म उवाच राजन् विदितधर्मोडसि सुनिर्णीतार्थसंशय: । बहुश्रुता हि ते विप्रा बहव: पर्युपासिता:
bhīṣma uvāca rājann viditadharmo 'si sunirṇītārthasaṁśayaḥ | bahuśrutā hi te viprā bahavaḥ paryupāsitāḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அரசே, நீ தர்மத்தை நன்கு அறிந்தவன்; வாழ்க்கையின் உண்மையான இலக்குகள் பற்றிய உன் ஐயங்களைத் தெளிவாகத் தீர்த்துக் கொண்டுள்ளாய். இனி உன் மனத்தில் எந்தத் தயக்கமும் இல்லை; ஏனெனில் பல சாஸ்திரங்களில் தேர்ந்த, பன்முறை கேட்டறிந்த பிராமணர்களை நீ அக்கறையுடன் பணிந்து, அவர்களின் சத்சங்கமும் உபதேசமும் மூலம் பயன் பெற்றுள்ளாய்.
