बलवांश्वोपशान्तश्न पुराण: पुण्यचज्चुरी । कुरुकर्ता कुरुवासी कुरुभूतो गुणीषध:
balavān śvopaśāntaś ca purāṇaḥ puṇyacakṣuḥ | īśaḥ kurukartā kuruvāsī kurubhūto guṇauṣadhaḥ ||
வாயுதேவன் கூறினான்—அவர் வலிமைமிக்கவர், முற்றிலும் அமைதிச் சுபாவம் உடையவர்; ஆதிபுருஷன்; புண்ணியத்தால் அறியப்படுபவர்—தர்மத்தின் கண்போல்; கருணைமிகு ஆண்டவன்—குருக்ஷேத்திரத்தை உருவாக்கியவர், குருக்ஷேத்திரத்தில் உறைவோர், குருக்ஷேத்திரமே ஆனவர்; மேலும் ஞானம், வைராக்யம் முதலிய நற்குணங்களை உண்டாக்கும் மூலிகைபோல இருப்பவர்.
