यास्य घोरतमा मूर्तिर्जगत् संहरते तथा । ईश्वरत्वान्महत्त्वाच्च महेश्वर इति स्मृत:
yāsya ghoratamā mūrtir jagat saṃharate tathā | īśvaratvān mahattvācca maheśvara iti smṛtaḥ ||
வாயு கூறினார்—அவருடைய மிகக் கொடிய திருவுருவம் உலகின் லயத்தை நிகழ்த்துகிறது. ஈசுவரத்துவமும் மகத்துவமும் உடையதால் அவர் ‘மகேஸ்வரன்’ என நினைவுகூரப்படுகிறார்.
