ज्योतिर्भूत: परमोडसौ पुरस्तात् प्रकाशते यत्प्रभया विश्वरूप: । अप: सृष्टवा सर्वभूतात्मयोनि: पुराकरोत् सर्वमेवाथ विश्वम्
jyotirbhūtaḥ paramo 'sau purastāt prakāśate yatprabhayā viśvarūpaḥ | apaḥ sṛṣṭvā sarvabhūtātmayoniḥ purākarot sarvamevātha viśvam ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அவர் பரம ஒளி; கிழக்குத் திசையில் விஸ்வரூபம் தாங்கி வெளிப்படுகிறார்; அவரது பிரகாசத்தால் உலகமெங்கும் ஒளிர்கிறது. அவர் எல்லா உயிர்களின் அந்தராத்மாவும் பிறப்பிடமும் ஆவார். பழங்காலத்தில் முதலில் நீரைப் படைத்து, பின்னர் முழு பிரபஞ்சத்தையும் உருவாக்கினார்.
