अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
नूनमद्य कृतार्था: सम नून॑ प्राप्ता: सतां गतिम् । यां गतिं प्रार्थयन्तीह ज्ञाननिर्मलबुद्धयः
nūnam adya kṛtārthāḥ sma nūnaṁ prāptāḥ satāṁ gatim | yāṁ gatiṁ prārthayantīha jñāna-nirmala-buddhayaḥ ||
வாயு கூறினார்— நிச்சயமாக இன்று நாம் கृतார்த்தரானோம்; நிச்சயமாக சத்புருஷர்கள் அடையும் அந்த நிலையையே நாம் அடைந்தோம். உண்மையான ஞானத்தால் தூய்மையடைந்த புத்தியுடைய ஞானிகள் இவ்வுலகில் எந்நிலையை வேண்டுகின்றார்களோ, அதையே நாம் உறுதியாகப் பெற்றோம்; ஆகவே இன்று நாம் உண்மையிலே நிறைவு பெற்றோம்.
