स्ववित्तं तेन दत्तं तु दत्तात्रेयाय कारणे । क्षत्रधर्म पुरस्कृत्य विनयं श्रुतमेव च
svavittaṁ tena dattaṁ tu dattātreyāya kāraṇe | kṣatradharma-puraskṛtya vinayaṁ śrutam eva ca
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அந்தக் காரணத்திற்காகவே அவன் தன் செல்வத்தை தத்தாத்ரேயருக்கு அளித்தான்; க்ஷாத்திர தர்மத்தை முன்னிறுத்தி, பணிவுடனும், கேட்ட புனித உபதேசத்தின்படியும் நடந்தான்.
