एष मे सर्वधर्माणां धर्मोडधिकतमो मत: । यद्धवत्या पुण्डरीकाक्षं स्तवैरचेंन्नर: सदा
eṣa me sarva-dharmāṇāṃ dharmo ’dhikatamo mataḥ | yad bhaktyā puṇḍarīkākṣaṃ stavair arcennaraḥ sadā ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—எல்லா தர்மங்களிலும் எனக்குத் தோன்றுவது இதுவே மிக உயர்ந்த தர்மம்: மனிதன் பக்தியுடன் தாமரைக்கண் கொண்ட ஆண்டவன் (வாசுதேவன்) மீது எப்போதும் ஸ்தோத்திரங்களால் அர்ச்சனை செய்ய வேண்டும்।
