अमृत्यु: सर्वदृक्‌ सिंह: संधाता सन्धिमान्स्थिर: । अजो दुर्मर्षण: शास्ता विश्रुतात्मा सुरारिहा

Transliteration

amṛtyuḥ sarvadṛk siṁhaḥ saṁdhātā sandhimān sthiraḥ | ajo durmarṣaṇaḥ śāstā viśrutātmā surārihā ||

Translation

பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அவர் அம்ருத்யு, மரணமற்றவர்; ஸர்வத்ருக், அனைத்தையும் காண்பவர்; ஸிம்ஹன், தீயோரைக் களைவார். அவர் ஸந்தாதா, உயிர்களை அவரவர் கர்மப் பலனோடு இணைப்பவர்; ஸந்திமான், யாக-தவப் பலன்களை அனுபவிப்பவர்; ஸ்திரன், என்றும் ஒரே நிலை உடையவர். அவர் அஜன், பிறப்பிலாதவர்; துர்மர்ஷணன், எதிர்க்க இயலாதவர்; ஷாஸ்தா, அனைவரையும் ஆளும் தண்டநாயகன்; விஷ்ருதாத்மா, வேத-சாஸ்திரங்களில் புகழ்பெற்றவர்; மேலும் ஸுராரிஹா, தேவர்களின் பகைவர்களை வதைக்கும் வல்லவன்।
