Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)

द्वितीयं त्वद्भुतमिदं त्वत्तेज: कृतमद्य वै दृष्टवा च विस्मिता: कृष्ण सा च न: स्मृतिरागता

dvitīyaṃ tv adbhutam idaṃ tvat-tejaḥ-kṛtam adya vai | dṛṣṭvā ca vismitāḥ kṛṣṇa sā ca naḥ smṛtir āgatā ||

நாரதர் கூறினார்—ஓ கிருஷ்ணா! இன்று உன் ஒளிமிகு தேஜஸால் இரண்டாவது ஒரு அதிசய நிகழ்வு நிகழ்ந்தது. அதை கண்ட நாம் வியப்புற்றோம்; மேலும் சங்கரன் (சிவன்) தொடர்பான அந்தப் பழைய நிகழ்வு மீண்டும் நினைவிற்கு வந்தது.
