Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
भवितारश्न तस्याथ सर्वे कामा यथेप्सिता: । प्रेत्य स्वर्ग च लभते नरो नास्त्यत्र संशय:,उसके सारे अभीष्ट मनोरथ पूर्ण होंगे और वह मनुष्य मृत्युके पश्चात् स्वर्गलोक पाता है, इसमें संशय नहीं है
bhavitāraś ca tasyātha sarve kāmā yathā-ipsitāḥ | pretya svargaṃ ca labhate naro nāsty atra saṃśayaḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அப்போது அவன் நியாயமாக விரும்பிய எல்லா ஆசைகளும் நிறைவேறும்; மேலும் மரணத்திற்குப் பின் அந்த மனிதன் ஸ்வர்கலோகத்தை அடைவான்—இதில் ஐயமில்லை.
