Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
यत् तद् भगवता पूर्व दत्त चक्रं तवानघ । जलान्तरचरं हत्वा दैत्यं च बलगर्वितम्
yat tad bhagavatā pūrva datta cakraṁ tavānagha | jalāntaracaraṁ hatvā daityaṁ ca balagarvitam ||
வாசுதேவன் கூறினான்—பாவமற்றவனே! நீருக்குள் உலாவிய வலிமை-அகந்தையால் மயங்கிய அசுரனை வதைத்து, முன்பு பகவான் உனக்குத் தந்த அந்தச் சக்கரம், வृषத்வஜன் (சிவன்) தாமே உருவாக்கி உனக்குக் கொடுத்ததே. அது அக்கினியைப் போலத் திகழும்; அதிசய ஒளியுடன் கூடிய, வெல்ல முடியாத ஆயுதம்.
