Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
सकृप्प्रभिन्नैश्व गजैर्विं भूषित॑ प्रहृषष्नानाविधपक्षिसेवितम् । सुपुष्पितैरम्बुधरप्रकाशै- महीरुहाणां च वनैर्विचित्रै:
sakṛt-prabhinnaiś ca gajair vibhūṣitaṃ prahṛṣṭa-nānā-vidha-pakṣi-sevitam | su-puṣpitair ambudhara-prakāśair mahī-ruhāṇāṃ ca vanair vicitram ||
தமது நெற்றியில் முதன்முறையாக மதநீர் வழிந்த யானைகள் அங்குள்ள உபவனத்தின் அழகை உயர்த்தின. மகிழ்ச்சியால் நிறைந்த பலவகைப் பறவைகள் மரங்களில் தங்கின. பெருமரங்கள் நிறைந்த பலவகை வனங்கள் அழகிய மலர்களால் மலர்ந்து மழைமேகங்களைப் போல ஒளிர்ந்தன; அவையெல்லாம் சேர்ந்து அந்த ஆசிரமத்தை ஒப்பற்ற அழகுடன் விளங்கச் செய்தன.
