Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

True understanding is twofold: one should know a thing’s qualities (guṇa) through direct experience, and also know its source and the proper means by which it is obtained (sambhava).
Vāsudeva describes drinking nectar-like milk and, through that act, realizing both its distinctive qualities and the way such milk comes to be procured—using a concrete example to convey a broader point about knowledge and attainment.
