येषामेतानि तिष्ठन्ति गृहेषु गृहमेधिनाम्‌ । तान्यधृष्याण्यगाराणि पिशिताशै: सुदारुणै:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | yeṣām etāni tiṣṭhanti gṛheṣu gṛhamedhinām | tāny adhṛṣyāṇy agārāṇi piśitāśaiḥ sudāruṇaiḥ ||

Translation

பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— எந்த இல்லத்தரசர்களின் வீடுகளில் இவ்வாறு விதிக்கப்பட்ட பொருட்கள் நிலைத்து பராமரிக்கப்படுகின்றனவோ, அந்த வீடுகள் தாக்கமுடியாதவையாகின்றன; மிகக் கொடிய மாமிசம் உண்ணும் இரவுலாவிகளும் அவற்றைத் தாக்க இயலாது।
