दानशील-समाचारः, सत्कारः, अहिंसा च
Umā–Maheśvara Saṃvāda
अग्निकार्य ऋयहं कुर्यान्निराहार: समाहित: । ततः संवत्सरे पूर्णे प्रतिगृह्लन्ति देवता:
agnikāryam ṛjvahaṁ kuryān nirāhāraḥ samāhitaḥ | tataḥ saṁvatsare pūrṇe pratigṛhlanti devatāḥ ||
தௌம்யர் கூறினார்—உண்ணாவிரதமிருந்து, ஒருமுகச் சித்தத்துடன், நேர்மையான தூய மனத்தால் அக்னிகாரியத்தைச் செய்ய வேண்டும். பின்னர் ஒரு ஆண்டு நிறைவுற்றபோது தேவர்கள் அந்த ஆஹுதியையும் விரதத்தையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள்.
