श्रूयतां तस्य दानस्य यादृशो गुणविस्तर: । कृतं तेन महच्छाद्धं वर्षाणीह त्रयोदश

Transliteration

śrūyatāṁ tasya dānasya yādṛśo guṇavistaraḥ | kṛtaṁ tena mahācchāddhaṁ varṣāṇīha trayodaśa ||

Translation

விசுவாமித்திரர் கூறினார்—அந்த தானத்தின் குணவிரிவு எத்தகையது என்பதை கேளுங்கள். அந்த தானத்தினால் அவன் இவ்வுலகிலேயே பித்ருக்களுக்காக பதின்மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்குரிய மகாச்ராத்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றியதுபோல் ஆனது.
