सदा द्वादशमासांस्तु जुह्दानो जातवेदसम्‌ | अलुब्ध: सत्यवादी च ब्रह्मण्यश्वाविहिंसक:

Transliteration

sadā dvādaśa-māsāṁs tu juhvāno jātavedasam | alubdhaḥ satyavādī ca brahmaṇyaś cāvihiṁsakaḥ ||

Translation

பன்னிரண்டு மாதங்களும் இடையறாது ஜாதவேதஸ் (அக்னி) இல் ஆஹுதி செலுத்தி, பேராசையற்றவனாய், உண்மையுரைப்பவனாய், பிராமண்ய தர்மத்தை மதிப்பவனாய், அஹிம்சையுடையவனாய் இருப்பவன்—அவன் தர்மத்தின் இலக்கணங்களால் அலங்கரிக்கப்படுகிறான்.
