दिव्यमाल्याम्बरधरो दिव्यगन्धानुलेपन: । जो लगातार बारह महीनोंतक अग्निहोत्र करता हुआ चौबीसवें दिन एक बार हविष्यान्न भोजन करता है

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | divyamālyāmbaradharo divyagandhānulepanaḥ | vimāne kāñcane divye haṃsayukte manoramae ||

Translation

பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அவன் தெய்வீக மாலைகளும் தெய்வீக ஆடைகளும் அணிந்து, விண்ணுலக மணங்களால் பூசப்பட்டவனாகிறான். பன்னிரண்டு மாதங்கள் அக்னிஹோத்ரத்தை நடத்தி, இருபத்திநான்காம் நாளில் ஒருமுறை ஹவிஷ்யான்னம் உண்ணும் அவன், மிக நீண்ட காலம் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் ஆதித்யலோகத்தில் தங்குவான்; அன்னப்பறவைகள் (ஹம்சம்) இழுக்கும் மனோகரமான தெய்வீக பொன்னான விமானத்தில் ஏறி இருப்பான்.
