आचारो भूतिजनन आचार: कीर्तिवर्धन: । आचाराद् वर्धते ह्यायुराचारो हन्त्यलक्षणम्
ācāro bhūtijanana ācāraḥ kīrtivardhanaḥ | ācārād vardhate hy āyur ācāro hanti alakṣaṇam ||
நல்லொழுக்கமே நலனின் பிறப்பிடம்; நல்லொழுக்கமே புகழை வளர்க்கும். நல்லொழுக்கத்தால் நிச்சயமாக ஆயுள் பெருகும்; நல்லொழுக்கமே தீய குறியீடுகளையும் தீயப் பழக்கங்களையும் அழிக்கும்.
