Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity
न हीदृशमनायुष्यं लोके किंचन विद्यते । यादृशं पुरुषस्येह परदारोपसेवनम्
na hīdṛśam anāyuṣyaṁ loke kiṁcana vidyate | yādṛśaṁ puruṣasyeha paradāropasevanam ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— இவ்வுலகில் பிறன் மனைவியுடன் உறவாடுதல் போல ஆயுளை அழிக்கும் செயல் வேறொன்றும் இல்லை. இங்கே ஆணுக்கு பரதார அனுபவத்தை நாடி இன்புறுதல் போல் உறுதியாக வாழ்நாளைச் சுருக்கும் வேறு எந்தக் கருமமும் இல்லை.
