स ऋषीन् वाहयामास वरदानमदान्वित: । परिहीणक्रियश्वैव दुर्बलत्वमुपेयिवान्
sa ṛṣīn vāhayāmāsa varadānamadānvitāḥ | parihīṇakriyaś caiva durbalatvam upeyivān |
வரங்களால் வந்த அகந்தை மயக்கத்தில் அவன் முனிவர்களைத் தன் வாகனத்தைச் சுமக்கச் செய்தான். அதனால் அவன் தர்மநெறியும் விதிக்கப்பட்ட கடமைகளும் விட்டு வழுவி, பின்னர் பலவீனமடைந்தான்—தர்மபலமற்றவனானான்.
