भक्ष्यैरभोज्यैश्न पेयैश्व रसवद्धिर्महा धनै: । माल्यैश्न विविधैर्गन्धैर्युक्त वाष्णेयपार्थयो:
bhakṣyair abhojyaiś ca peyaiś ca rasavaddhir mahādhanaiḥ | mālyaiś ca vividhair gandhair yuktaṃ vāsṇeyapārthayoḥ ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்— வாசுதேவ கிருஷ்ணனும் பார்த்தன் (அர்ஜுனன்) உடைய அந்தப்புரம் பலவகை உண்ணத்தக்கவும் சமைத்த உணவுகளும், சுவைமிக்கவும் மிக மதிப்புமிக்கவும் ஆன பானங்களும், பெருஞ்செல்வமும், விதவிதமான மலர்மாலைகளும் நறுமணப் பொருட்களும் நிறைந்ததாக இருந்தது. அவர்கள் யமுனைத் துறையின் அந்த இனிய விளையாட்டுத் திடலுக்கு வந்ததும், இல்லத்துப் பெண்கள் நல்வர்ண ரத்தினங்களால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட க்ரீடாமண்டபங்களுக்குள் நுழைந்தனர்; பின்னர் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தம் விருப்பத்திற்கேற்ப நீர்விளையாட்டில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.
