स हि सर्वस्य लोकस्य हितमात्मन एव च | चिकीर्षन् सुमहातेजा रेमे भरतसत्तम,भरतश्रेष्ठ! महातेजस्वी राजा युधिष्ठिर सब लोगोंका और अपना भी हित करनेकी चेष्टामें लगे रहकर सदा प्रसन्नतापूर्वक समय बिताते थे
sa hi sarvasya lokasya hitam ātmana eva ca | cikīrṣan sumahātejā reme bharatasattama ||
பரதகுலச் சிறந்தவரே! மாபெரும் தேஜஸுடைய அரசன் யுதிஷ்டிரர் உலகமெங்கும் நலனையும் தன் நலனையும் நாடி எப்போதும் முயன்று, திருப்தியுடன் காலத்தை கழித்தார். அவரது மகிழ்ச்சி வெறும் இன்பத்தில் அல்ல; தர்மமயமான நன்மைச் செயலில் இருந்தது.
