क्र एकविशर्त्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: पाण्डुका कुन्तीको समझाना और कुन्तीका पतिकी आज्ञासे पुत्रोत्पत्तिके लिये धर्मदेवताका आवाहन करनेके लिये उद्यत होना वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्तस्तया राजा तां देवीं पुनरब्रवीत् । धर्मविद् धर्मसंयुक्तमिदं वचनमुत्तमम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! कुन्तीके यों कहनेपर धर्मज्ञ राजा पाण्डुने देवी कुन्तीसे पुनः यह धर्मयुक्त बात कही
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktas tayā rājā tāṃ devīṃ punar abravīt | dharmavid dharmasaṃyuktam idaṃ vacanam uttamam ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—அவள் இவ்வாறு கூறியபின், தர்மத்தை அறிந்த அரசன் பாண்டு அந்தத் தேவியான குந்தியிடம் மீண்டும் உரைத்தான். அது தர்மத்தோடு இணைந்த, தர்மவிதன் சொன்ன சிறந்த உரை ஆகும்.
