Lord Vishnu (narrating to Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Bhakti grants both exalted worldly/cosmic attainments and, when joined with jñāna, leads to mokṣa; Hari is the Supreme focus beyond all stations.
Vedantic Theme: Saguṇa-bhakti culminating in jñāna and liberation; gradation from aiśvarya to kaivalya.
Application: Offer daily actions (especially responsibilities) as worship; keep the Supreme as the final aim, not status or recognition.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.24 (Ambarīṣa among exemplars of Śrīnिवāsa-bhakti)
This verse presents bhakti as the transforming power that elevates one to divine status and culminates—when joined with true knowledge—in moksha (liberation).
It outlines a progression: devotion (bhakti) purifies and elevates, and the attainment of jñāna finalizes the journey, resulting in liberation.
Practice steady devotion to the Supreme (Hari) and support it with study and reflection that mature into clear spiritual understanding.
