निर्मांसजानुः सौभाग्यमल्पैर्निम्नै रतिः स्त्रियाः / विकटैश्च दरिद्राः स्युः समांसै राज्यमेव च

nirmāṃsajānuḥ saubhāgyamalpairnimnai ratiḥ striyāḥ / vikaṭaiśca daridrāḥ syuḥ samāṃsai rājyameva ca

மாம்சமற்ற முழங்கால்கள் உடையவன் சௌபாக்கியவான் எனக் கூறப்படுகிறான்; சிறியதும் தாழ்வாக அமைந்ததும் ஆகிய இலக்கணங்கள் உடைய பெண் ரதியில் நாட்டமுடையாள். கரடுமுரடான இலக்கணங்கள் உடையோர் வறியவர்; மாம்சமிகு இலக்கணங்கள் உடையோர் நிச்சயமாக அரசாட்சியை அடைவர்.
