ஏழு சப்தமி நாட்களில் கோதுமை, மாஷம் (உளுந்து), யவம், ஷஷ்டிக அரிசி, காஞ்சியப் பாத்திரத்தில் உணவு, கல்லில் அரைத்த உணவு, தேன், எருமை மாமிசம், மதுபானம், மாமிசம்—இவற்றையும்; மேலும் எண்ணெய் மசாஜ், அஞ்சனம், எள் ஆகியவற்றையும் விலக்குவனுக்கு அந்த ஏழு சப்தமிகளிலே விரும்பிய பலன் கிடைக்கும்.
