वृद्धं तं पञ्चतां प्राप्तं महिष्यनुमरिष्यती । और्वेण जानतात्मानं प्रजावन्तं निवारिता ॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration

vṛddhaṁ taṁ pañcatāṁ prāptaṁ mahiṣy anumariṣyatī aurveṇa jānatātmānaṁ prajāvantaṁ nivāritā

Translation

பாஹுகன் முதுமையில் இறந்து பஞ்சதத்துவத்தில் லயமானான். அப்போது அவனுடைய மனைவிகளில் ஒருவர் சதி-விரதப்படி அவனுடன் இறக்க விரும்பினாள்; ஆனால் அவள் கர்ப்பிணி என்பதை அறிந்த அவுர்வ முனி அவளைத் தடுத்தார்.
