जनमेजयस्त्वां विदित्वा तक्षकान्निधनं गतम् । सर्पान् वै सर्पयागाग्नौ स होष्यति रुषान्वित: ॥ ३६ ॥
janamejayas tvāṁ viditvā takṣakān nidhanaṁ gatam sarpān vai sarpa-yāgāgnau sa hoṣyati ruṣānvitaḥ
தக்ஷக நாகத்தால் உன் மரணம் நிகழ்ந்ததை அறிந்து, உன் மகன் ஜனமேஜயன் கோபம் கொண்டு, சர்ப்பயாகத்தின் அக்னியில் உலகிலுள்ள எல்லா பாம்புகளையும் எரிக்க ஆஹுதிகளைச் செலுத்துவான்.
