गुरुश्च रन्तिदेवश्च सङ्कृते: पाण्डुनन्दन । रन्तिदेवस्य महिमा इहामुत्र च गीयते ॥ २ ॥
guruś ca rantidevaś ca saṅkṛteḥ pāṇḍu-nandana rantidevasya mahimā ihāmutra ca gīyate
ஓ பாண்டுவின் வம்சத்துப் பரீக்ஷித்தே! சங்க்ருதிக்கு குரு மற்றும் ரந்திதேவன் என இரண்டு மகன்கள். ரந்திதேவனின் மகிமை இவ்வுலகிலும் மறுவுலகிலும் பாடப்படுகிறது; மனிதர்களிடையே மட்டுமல்ல, தேவர்களிடையிலும் அவன் புகழ் விளங்குகிறது.
