Balarāma Visits Vraja: Consoling the Gopīs and Dragging the Yamunā
गोपवृद्धांश्च विधिवद् यविष्ठैरभिवन्दित: । यथावयो यथासख्यं यथासम्बन्धमात्मन: ॥ ४ ॥ समुपेत्याथ गोपालान् हास्यहस्तग्रहादिभि: । विश्रान्तं सुखमासीनं पप्रच्छु: पर्युपागता: ॥ ५ ॥ पृष्टाश्चानामयं स्वेषु प्रेमगद्गदया गिरा । कृष्णे कमलपत्राक्षे सन्न्यस्ताखिलराधस: ॥ ६ ॥
gopa-vṛddhāṁś ca vidhi-vad yaviṣṭhair abhivanditaḥ yathā-vayo yathā-sakhyaṁ yathā-sambandham ātmanaḥ
பகவான் பலராமர் கோபர்களின் மூத்தவர்களை விதிப்படி வணங்கி, இளையவர்கள் மரியாதையுடன் வணங்கினர். வயது, நட்பு, உறவு ஆகியவற்றிற்கேற்ப அவர் புன்னகை, கைபிடித்தல் முதலிய அன்புச் செயல்களால் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் தனித்தனியாகச் சந்தித்தார். பின்னர் ஓய்வெடுத்து வசதியான ஆசனத்தில் அமர்ந்தார்; சுற்றிலும் கூடிய கோபர்கள் அன்பால் குரல் தளர்ந்து துவாரகையிலுள்ள தங்கள் அன்பினரின் நலன் விசாரித்தனர்; பலராமரும் கோபர்களின் நலத்தை விசாரித்தார்—அவர்கள் தாமரைநயனான ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணனில் அனைத்தையும் ஒப்படைத்தவர்கள்।
