Kṛṣṇa Enters Mathurā: City Splendor, Devotees’ Reception, and the Washerman’s Fate
śrī-akrūra uvāca adbhutānīha yāvanti bhūmau viyati vā jale tvayi viśvātmake tāni kiṁ me ’dṛṣṭaṁ vipaśyataḥ
This verse states that all wonders in earth, sky, and water are contained within Krishna, who is addressed as Viśvātman/Viśvātmake—the Soul and inner essence of the entire universe.
Akrura recognizes Krishna as the source and container of all marvels; therefore, seeing Krishna is seeing the root reality behind everything that could be considered astonishing.
It trains the mind to shift from constant novelty-seeking to gratitude and reverence—seeing everyday events and nature as meaningful when connected to the Divine.
