ततः संपूज्य देवेशं पद्मनाभं जगद् गुरुम् विज्ञापयेन्मुनिश्रेष्ठ मन्त्रेणानेन सुव्रत

Ritual culminates in conscious articulation: the devotee ‘vijñāpayet’—does not demand, but petitions with humility. This models ethical prayer as respectful communication rather than transactional bargaining.
Like many Purāṇic sections, it serves as dharma/vrata instruction appended to narrative layers; it is not a core pañcalakṣaṇa topic but an applied liturgical/ritual prescription.
The sequence ‘saṃpūjya … vijñāpayet’ symbolizes that right action precedes right speech: worship (karma) prepares the mind for mantra (vāk) and intention (bhāva).
