It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace) as the decisive force that turns a worldly heir toward a sacred journey, showing that liberation-oriented movement begins when divine grace and right guidance arise together.
The verse frames the narrative as being propelled by Śiva’s grace—typical of Saguna Śiva devotion—where the devotee is led to places of tapas and worship (often forests and āśramas) that culminate in Linga-centered devotion and realization.
It suggests seeking a qualified brāhmaṇa/ācārya and undertaking disciplined retreat (tapas) in a secluded place, supported by steady japa of Śiva-mantra (such as the pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
