FAQs

The verse uses sacred similes—moon-like radiance and Hari-like splendor—to signal sattva (purity) and auspicious destiny, showing how divine order (dharma) manifests through noble qualities and ordained relationships.

Though not directly about the Liṅga, the verse supports the Purāṇic worldview central to Saguna worship: divine qualities, directions, and cosmic beings (like the Maruts and Hari) are harmonized under Śiva’s overarching cosmic governance described in the Kailāsa Saṃhitā.

A practical takeaway is dhyāna on auspicious lunar radiance (śīta-candra-prabhā) while repeating the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating inner purity and steadiness (sattva) akin to the verse’s imagery.
