Lakshmana Enters Kishkindha: Anger, Tara’s Mediation, and Sugriva Encountered
जानामि रोषं हरिवीरबन्धोर्जानामि कार्यस्य च कालसङ्गम्।जानामि कार्यं त्वयि यत्कृतं नस्तच्चापि जानामि यदत्र कार्यम्।।।।
jānāmi roṣaṃ harivīrabandhor jānāmi kāryasya ca kālasaṅgam | jānāmi kāryaṃ tvayi yatkṛtaṃ nas taccāpi jānāmi yad atra kāryam ||
जानामि रोषं हरिवीरबन्धोः, जानामि कार्यस्य च कालसङ्गम्। जानामि यन्न त्वया नः कृतं तत्, तच्चापि जानामि यदत्र कार्यम्॥
'I know about the anger of (Rama), the friend of Sugriva. I am aware of the time limit set for his work. I am aware of our omissions in this regard. I also know about themission.
Dharma includes accountability and timely action: recognizing urgency and omissions is the first step toward restoring right conduct.
Tārā acknowledges Lakṣmaṇa’s grievance and the deadline for assisting Rāma, assuring him she understands both the failure and the remedy.
Clear-eyed responsibility—Tārā combines empathy with practical knowledge of what must be done.
