Narrator (a speaker reporting: “as Śaṅkara told me”)
Concept: Certain extreme, self-terminating acts create an ‘anivartikā gati’—a one-way trajectory of consequence; spiritual paths can become irreversible once a threshold is crossed.
Application: Avoid romanticizing self-harm as spirituality; choose sustainable sādhana (japa, seva, vrata with guidance). Treat ‘irreversible choices’ in life as spiritually weighty and seek counsel from śāstra and teachers.

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A stark cremation-ground edge: a lone ascetic stands before a ritual fire, its flames towering like a doorway, while another figure sits in severe fasting, ribs visible, eyes fixed inward. Above them, a translucent vision of Śaṅkara appears as a witness-teacher, his raised hand signaling solemn certainty about the ‘one-way path’.","primary_figures":["Śiva as Śaṅkara (visionary teacher)","ascetic at the fire (agnipraveśa)","fasting ascetic (anāśana)"],"setting":"Cremation-ground/forest margin with a blazing homa-like fire, ash-strewn earth, distant temple silhouette","lighting_mood":"firelit night","color_palette":["charcoal black","ember orange","ash gray","smoky violet","pale moon white"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: dramatic firelit tableau with Śaṅkara in divine aura above, gold leaf halo and ornate frame; below, ascetics in austere poses near a stylized sacred fire, rich reds and blacks, gem-like highlights, iconographic clarity despite the grim theme.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: nocturnal scene with delicate smoke curls, moon over dark pines, two ascetics—one near flames, one fasting—while a gentle, ethereal Śaṅkara apparition floats in the sky; cool blues with warm fire accents, refined linework.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, intense flame shapes, Śaṅkara’s large expressive eyes and calm gesture; earthy pigments, strong contrast between ash-gray ground and red-orange fire, temple-wall symmetry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: symbolic rather than literal—central sacred fire as a mandala-like motif, Śaṅkara above within a floral aureole; intricate borders, deep indigo cloth, gold highlights, stylized austerity figures at the base."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It mentions agni-praveśa (entering fire, i.e., self-immolation) and anāśana (fasting/abstaining from food, here implying fasting unto death).
It means an “irreversible course/destiny”—a path whose consequences cannot be easily turned back from, implying severe karmic and spiritual repercussions.
Śaṅkara refers to Śiva. He is cited as an authoritative source for the teaching that such acts lead to an irreversible outcome.
