उक्तोध्यमर्थ आचार्यो मया कर्णेन चासकृत् । पुनरेव प्रवक्ष्यामि न हि तृप्यामि त॑ ब्रुवन्,“आचार्यो! मैंने और कर्णने यह बात आपलोगोंसे कई बार कही है और फिर उसीको दुहराता हूँ; क्योंकि उसे बार-बार कहकर भी मुझे तृप्ति नहीं होती
ukto 'yam artha ācāryo mayā karṇena cāsakṛt | punar eva pravakṣyāmi na hi tṛpyāmi taṁ bruvan ||
उक्तोऽयमर्थ आचार्यो मया कर्णेन चासकृत्। पुनरेव प्रवक्ष्यामि न हि तृप्यामि तं ब्रुवन्॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and pedagogical value of reiteration: a point of importance—especially counsel connected with right conduct—is worth repeating until it is firmly understood, and the speaker feels no fatigue in restating what is necessary.
Vaiśampāyana reports a speaker addressing a teacher, saying that the same point has already been conveyed many times by himself and by Karṇa, yet he will repeat it again because he is not satisfied merely by having said it once.
