ततो रथाभ्यां प्रस्कन्द्य भ्रातरौ क्षत्रियर्षभौ । गदापाणी सुसंरब्धौ समभ्यद्रवतां रथान्,फिर वे क्षत्रियशिरोमणि दोनों बन्धु रथोंसे कूद पड़े और हाथमें गदा ले क्रोधमें भरकर शत्रुसेनाके रथोंकी ओर दौड़े
tato rathābhyāṃ praskandya bhrātarau kṣatriyarṣabhau | gadāpāṇī susaṃrabdhau samabhyadravatāṃ rathān |

वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma: when protection of one’s side and honor demands it, a warrior meets danger directly, with controlled but intense resolve rather than hesitation.
Two brother-warriors leap down from their chariots, seize their maces, and charge toward the opposing force’s chariots, signaling an escalation into close combat.
