Draupadī’s Lament and Indictment of Misfortune
तत् कर्म कृतवानद्य कथं निद्रां निषेवसे । वहाँ पहुँचते ही सैरन्ध्री बोली--आर्यपुत्र! मुझसे द्वेष रखनेवाले उस महापापी सेनापतिके, जिसने मेरे साथ वैसा अपमानजनक बर्ताव किया था, जीते-जी तुम आज नींद कैसे ले रहे हो?
tat karma kṛtavān adya kathaṃ nidrāṃ niṣevase |
तत् कर्म कृतवानद्य कथं निद्रां निषेवसे । तत्रोपगम्य सैरन्ध्री उवाच—आर्यपुत्र! मम द्वेषिणं महापापं सेनापतिं येनाहं तथाऽवमानिता, स जीवन्नद्य कथं त्वं निद्रां निषेवसे ॥
